Tomb of Ramses VI (KV 9)
NOTE: The khepresh crown, like other royal headgear could be depicted plain or with a variety of embellishments, such as round bosses, ram horns, or feathers. This particular example includes a falcon wrapped protectively over the top of the crown. These various emblems are tracked separately from (but related to) the basic crown type. This practice allows, for example, a search for all falcons included as headgear, regardless of which crown they appear on.
What detail in the khepresh crown. Wow, lovely photo Amy!
Thank you, David! Plenty more where that came from–keep watching this space 🙂
Best,
Amy
