Check out this amazing new Google application called Art Project that provides a walk-through exploration of a number of major museums (including the Metropolitan Museum of Art in New York, the Uffizi in Florence, The Hermitage, and the Tate in London). Many pieces are also available for individual investigation via “View Artwork.” The extreme zoom capacity is particularly cool.
